Golf Course Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Golf Course Manager to join our team at Heythrop Park, a well-regarded 18-hole resort golf course located in North Oxfordshire.

About the Role:

As the Golf Course Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the course is maintained to the highest possible standard year-round. You’ll play a key role in course presentation, turf care, environmental management, and strategic planning, delivering exceptional playing conditions for our members, hotel guests and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the green-keeping department
• Plan and implement all course maintenance and development works
• Manage, train, and motivate a team of green keepers
• Oversee turf management including mowing, fertilisation, irrigation, and pest control
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations
• Monitor departmental budgets and resource planning
• Liaise closely with the Club Manager
• Keep abreast of best practices, innovations, and industry standards

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum Level 3 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a senior green-keeping or course management role
• Strong knowledge of turf care, machinery, and irrigation systems
• PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates preferred
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Flexible, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality standards
• Full UK driving licence
